This project, A Little Later, which includes an artist’s book and a special poster and postcard design, is the second such collaboration with our sister studio, Atelier Ravel. Building off of the artist’s first book, The Memory Room, this design’s main challenge was to create an aesthetic unity with the original publication while honoring the creative elements unique to the new volume. We retained the basic structure and style from the initial project, such as the vintage photography and Swiss School–inspired type, but adapted the contents within to capture what the second endeavor revealed, including a special list format, a new “collage” section, and a fresh varying of the imagery. The chapter “Rose Portraits” offered a lovely inspiration for the related stationery program, which enabled us to literally paper the neighborhood with roses!
