This project is a full-length art book that instructs readers in the basics of typography, along with personal notes about the author’s design philosophy. Our design plays with a clean black-and-white scheme to emulate the typical black-and-white play of letters on a blank page. We also fabricated a special motif, drawn from typographical elements, that we employed in the title and throughout the book, then varied in related ephemera. Along with the book itself, we created assorted spin-off elements, including a special invitation for the book’s release party, souvenir postcards, a poster, and more.
